Phase Two: Skills-Building Phase

Phase two provides participants with skills such as resume writing, research, computer skills, and career planning. The participants include girls aged 15-16, who have completed phase 1. The phase begins in September and lasts until the end of June—10 months.

Goal 1: During the Second phase, participants will increase their computer and professional skills

Objective 1.1: By the end of Phase 2, 100% of participants will have participated in 18 skill-building meetings, each approximately 2 hours long, facilitated by Nor Luyce staff surrounding topics such as interview skills, resume writing, etc. and evaluated by participants using post-survey questionnaires and evaluated by staff using participation forms.

 Objective 1.2: Participants will increase knowledge in conducting research, writing papers, and public speaking skills by at least 20% through practical exams on each topic, pre- and post- questionnaires, and staff observation using a checklist by the end of Phase 2.

 Objective 1.3: All phase 2 participants will organize at least one group meeting for their peers at Nor Luyce, directly using the skills taught during our program by researching a topic online, creating a PowerPoint, and then presenting all their information by the end of Phase 2.

Goal 2: During the second phase, all participants will build their career aspirations and enhance their application skills.

Objective 2.1: 100% of Participants will have a career plan and have set at least 5 concrete goals with actionable steps of how to accomplish them, monitored by Nor Luyce staff and evaluation reports complete by the participant.

 Objective 2.2: All participants will create a CV, Resume, cover letter and motivation letter in order to apply for universities, jobs and trainings by the end of Phase 2.

Objective 2.3: To have increased time management of 75% of phase 2 participants through time-sensitive attendance sheets at meetings held by Nor Luyce.

Goal 3: During the second phase, all participants will expand their world perspective through local volunteering and global/cultural meetings.

Objective 3.1: All participants will have completed at least 1 local volunteer activity in their community such as community clean-up, presentations at local youth social centers, etc. by the end of Phase 2.

Objective 3.2: All participants must participate in at least 9 overall group meetings, where they will increase their understanding of global problems and trends such as equality, human rights, cultural practices, etc. as measured by post-survey evaluations.
