Lusine Hamazaspyan

Nor Luyce is trying to provide Lusine H., a young girl from Gyumri, with a scholarship that would reduce her out of pocket costs towards her education. Lusine, her seven siblings and parents live together in an apartment. Her mother is a housewife and her father is a radio technician who supports their family on a very modest income. Lusine future goals are to attend culinary school in 2016 and become a great chef. Read more.

Lia Gabrielyan

Nor Luyce is trying to provide Lia G., a young girl from Gyumri, with a scholarship that would reduce her out of pocket costs towards her education. Lia, her younger brother and parents live in a “domik.” Her mother is a housewife and her father does not have a permanent job. Currently, Lia plans on attending the medical college in Gyumri starting 2016. She is studying to become a nurse and hopes to one day help her patients fight incurable diseases. Lia enjoys cooking and yoga sessions at Nor Luyce and credits the organization for being a shinning light in her life. Read more.

Flora Mkrtchyan

Flora plans to begin her college career in 2016 at the Pedagogical State University in Gyumri. Her dream is to become a social worker and help children dealing with social issues. Flora has been attending Nor Luyce for a year, during which she has grown as a person and overcome many of her insecurities. Read more.

Seda Mkrtchyan

Nor Luyce is trying to provide Seda M., a young girl from Gyumri, with a scholarship that would reduce her out of pocket costs towards her education. Seda M., her brother, and their parents, live in a rental apartment in the city. Seda’s aunt, who has health issues, also lives with them and is cared for by her family. Currently, Seda M. is in her second year at the medical college. She is part of the Department of Pharmacology and aspires to become a pharmacist. Read more.

Lusine Drmoyan

Lusine D., her sister, and their elderly parents live in an apartment. They lost their house during the 1988 Spitak Earthquake, and one of their relatives rented them an apartment to live in until they can afford to purchase their own apartment. Lusine D. will graduate high school and will start attending the Gyumri branch of the Polytechnic State University Economics Department in the fall of 2015. Lusine D. is described as a very active, kind-hearted, even-tempered, well-behaved and responsible individual. Her dreams are to become a very good specialist in her field and to be able to buy a house for her family. Read more.

Arevik Qocharyan

Arevik lives at home with her parents, two sisters and brother. Her father is unable to work due to heart issues while her mother’s income, as a nurse, is not enough to support their whole family. Arevik has chosen to follow her mother’s footsteps in the medical field and is currently attending the Gyumri Medical College studying Pharmacy. She hopes to have her own pharmacy one day. Arevik is also very interested in archeology, law and reading books and has in the past taken dance and drawing classes. Her ultimate dream is to one day travel to Venice. The requested scholarship funds will help Arevik continue her studies and cover the costs of her tuition, uniform, books, stationaries, winter clothing and her transportation fee for one year. Lusine Qocharyan

Lusine lives at home with her parents, two sisters (one of which is also apart of Nor Luyce’s Mentorship program) and brother. Her father is unable to work due to heart issues while her mother’s income, as a nurse is not enough to support their whole family. Lusine is currently studying accounting at the Shirak Region State College and is striving for a secure career and financial success. She loves drawing, especially churches and nature, and hopes that one day her artwork can be showcased at an art gallery. The requested scholarship funds will help Lusine continue her studies and cover the costs of her tuition, uniform, books, stationaries, winter clothing and her transportation fee for one year. Read more.

Ruzanna Hakobyan

  Ruzanna is one of three children all in an orphanage due to the unemployed status of their only parent, their father. She hopes to become a methodologist to work with kindergarten children. The requested scholarship funds will cover the costs of her college tuition, uniform, books, stationaries and her transportation fee for one year. Read more.

Naira Hamazaspya

Naira lives at home with her parents, four sisters and two brothers, one of which is suffers from epilepsy. Her parents do not work and their family barely survives on a poverty pension. Fencing has always been Naira’s passion, but unfortunately due a leg injury can no longer pursue it as a career. Instead, Naira has chosen to continue her education at the University and pursue studies in journalism, physical training or kinesiology. She enjoys listening to music, reading books, and playing table tennis. Naira is hopeful that one day she can continue her sports career in fencing and make her parents and her country proud. The requested scholarship funds will help Naira continue her studies and cover the costs of her tuition, uniform, books, stationaries, winter clothing and her transportation fee for one year. Read more.

Mariam Israyelyan

Mariam, her two sisters, and her brother, live at home with their unemployed mother. Her father currently resides in Russia, where he is trying to work and make money for food, rent and to support his family. Mariam is currently attending the Gyumri branch of the European Academy and studying Accounting and Auditing in her second year. Mariam is described as an intelligent and responsible individual. Her dreams are to become a very good specialist in her field and to be able to buy a house for her family. She also dreams about travelling around the world. Although Mariam has received a 50% discount in the university for studying well, she is still in need of financial assistance in order to complete her studies and reach her goals. The requested scholarship funds will help Mariam cover the remaining costs of her tuition, books, stationary, and her transportation fee for one year. Read more.

Nor Luyce is trying to provide Anna, a young girl who stays and studies at the Terchoonyan orphanage in Gyumri, with a scholarship that would reduce her out of pocket costs towards her education.
